Okay, so now that things have finally settled down I thought I'd show you some photos of the first press move (well actually second press move) I did not document the awesomeness of the vandercook move six years ago…oops!) Back at the end of November Andy and I headed up to Minneapolis to purchase and move a Heidelberg Windmill press. This press will be faster and can handle larger jobs than the Vandercook, basically got the press so I can do a different variety of jobs than on the vandy. Howdy! I've been working away at the new catalog, products, etc. so this week I really fell behind on the blogging…thanks for taking it easy on me, I promise you, you'll love the new prints and cards! Holiday Traditions…the lights

We have two traditions that involve light. The first is that we celebrate the advent with our Christmas Pyramid Carousel. We enjoy one in the kitchen and one in the dining room. It is such fun to light the candles and discuss the reason for the season. My husband is a wee bit swedish so it is a fun tradition. We are also lucky that we live in a fantastic old neighborhood in Des Moines called Waterbury. Every year they put out over thousands of luminaries on Christmas Eve, it is just lovely. I just got done finishing up a few custom stationary projects and thought I'd show you some of the gorgeous woodtype stationary. I have some lowercase which looks playful, fun and peppy (can't show you this one since it is a gift!) and then uppercase really old woodtype (1856) that is serifed and lovely…don't you think the polka dots really makes it?

We'll we've got the perfect storm brewing up this weekend. Headed to Minneapolis to pick up a Heidelberg Windmill press! Yay from a production stand point but ugh from a hauling stand point. Lot of poundage to haul. I'll be documenting the pick up and roadtrip. The forcast is calling for some  freezing rain and snow all along our route so this should be interesting…full details to come!
